NEW DELHI: Union dwelling minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday urged Microsoft founder and philanthropist Monthly bill Gates to concentration on acquiring Indian villages into ‘model villages’ by initiating new systems in fields of agriculture and sanitation.

Singh, all through his conference with Gates, co-chairperson of the Monthly bill & Melinda Gates Basis, appreciated the several welfare performs being undertaken by the US donor in India. The dwelling minister asked for Gates to grow its wellbeing consciousness programmes in India and produce “model villages” so that the nearby people today get motivated. Gates, on his component, spelled out the several systems being adopted by them in the discipline of agriculture and sanitation.

The conference will come even as the Gates Basis-funded Indian NGO, General public Health and fitness Basis of India (PHFI), was stripped of its licence to acquire overseas funds previously this calendar year around violations of the International Contributions Regulation Act, 2010.
