VVOAT EVMs || Himachal || ThePoliticalIndia: The SNA Zaidi, Chief Election Commissioner announced, Himachal Pradesh Election and all future election will now be held VVPATs (Voter-verified paper audit trail machines).
To address the 13th annual National Conference on Electoral and Political Reforms, Zaidi was at Punjab University on Saturday.
Zaidi said, “We have got the funds and VVPAT machines would boost the voter’s confidence. India would be the first country to use them.”

In paper trail machines a voter could see their vote being cast.
After they alleged tampering of EVMs in the recently concluded assembly election of 5 states, Congress, BSP and AAP had called for the return to the ballot paper system.
He said that election commission had called for an all-party meeting, “On the recent question that has been raised on the EVM being compromised.”
EC had seized Rs 350 crore, In the recently held elections to 5 state.
The election was to be held on April 12, The EC used vested under Article 324 of the Constitution.
Zaidi said abuse of money power altered voters choices, Regarding RK Nagar by polls in Tamil Nadu. The income tax department seized documents showing disbursement of ₹90 crore to voters.
