7.5 lakh university and college teachers to receive benefits under 7th Pay Commission | India News


NEW DELHI: Diwali has appear early for instructors of central, state universities and UGC schools as the Union authorities on Wednesday prolonged rewards of the 7th Pay Commission to them.

“Assistant and affiliate professors of 329 state universities and 12,912 schools will get the advantage of the 7th Pay Commission from January 1, 2016. Academics of all centrally funded considered universities and 43 central universities will be benefited,” reported Union minister Prakash Javadekar.

Javadekar was briefing the media just after a meeting of the Union Cupboard.

The go, anticipated to advantage 7.58 lakh college instructors, will “aid attract expertise into lecturers,” the minister included.

“This quantities to an enhance of around 22-28 per cent,” Javadekar reported.

Union ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and Dharmendra Pradhan were also present at the press briefing.

“The SANKALP and Attempt initiatives will make a skilling ecosystem that increases simplicity of doing company and the aspirational value of skill progress,” Pradhan reported.

Pradhan included that one lakh Indian kids will be despatched to Japan for specialized teaching in the upcoming three years.

Prasad emphasised that “India is stressing on skilling its workforce and on delivering expert workforce to other nations around the world.”
